Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

From the repository
Clone the repository, install dependencies with uv pip install -r requirements.txt, then start the server with uv run mcp install main.py. Interact using any MCP-compatible client (e.g., Claude, Cursor) by making tool calls such as { "ticker": "AAPL" } to get stock info.

Usage
To start the server:

Notes
- All stock data is fetched live from Yahoo Finance via yfinance.
- News headlines and URLs are scraped from Finviz for the get_stock_news tool.
- Error handling and retry logic are built-in for robust operation.
