Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

From the repository
Install by adding @wattyenergie/mcp-server to your Claude Desktop configuration with command npx -y @wattyenergie/mcp-server. Alternatively, run directly with npx @wattyenergie/mcp-server or install globally via npm install -g @wattyenergie/mcp-server and then execute watty-mcp. After setup, ask natural‑language questions such as “Bereken mijn jaarlijkse energiekosten bij 3500 kWh stroom en 1200 m3 gas.”
calculate_annual_energy_cost
Bereken de jaarlijkse all-in energiekosten voor een Nederlands huishouden op basis van elektriciteit (kWh) en gas (m3) verbruik. Inclusief energiebelasting, netbeheerkosten, BTW en belastingvermindering.
compare_energy_deals
Vergelijk alle beschikbare Nederlandse energiecontracten en vind de beste deals gesorteerd op jaarkosten. Ondersteunt filtering op contracttype (vast/dynamisch) en groene stroom. Elke deal bevat een signup_url waarmee gebruikers direct kunnen overstappen.
get_dynamic_prices
Haal actuele dynamische elektriciteitsprijzen op (EPEX day-ahead). Toont prijzen per uur voor vandaag en morgen indien beschikbaar.
calculate_net_metering
Bereken de impact van saldering voor zonnepanelen onder huidige en toekomstige regelgeving (afbouw naar 2027).
get_supplier_list
Krijg een lijst van alle Nederlandse energieleveranciers met contactgegevens en beoordelingen.
