Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

From the repository
Add the server URL https://barcode-generator.api.klymax402.com/mcp to your MCP client configuration (Claude Desktop, Cursor, ElizaOS, etc.). The tool utility_generate_barcode accepts data (required), and optional format, width, and height. For HTTP usage, any x402-aware client automatically handles the 402 payment challenge cycle.

utility_generate_barcode
Use this when you need to generate a barcode from text or a number. Returns base64-encoded SVG image in JSON.
Parameters

When to use: product labeling, inventory management, shipping labels, retail POS systems, and asset tracking barcodes.
Not for: QR codes (use utility_generate_qr_code), image resizing (use media_resize_image), PDF generation (use document_generate_pdf).
