Setting up with Highlight
This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:
- Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
- Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"

list_events
List all events owned by the authenticated user. Returns event names, dates, venue info, and floorplan counts. Use this first to discover available events.
create_event
Create a new event to hold floorplans, guests, and seating assignments. An event represents a single occasion (wedding, conference, gala). The name is required. Default language is Hebrew ("he"). Base tier allows up to 3 events.
get_event
Get full details of a specific event by its ID. Returns name, description, venue, date, language, and floorplan count.
update_event
Update an existing event. Only provided fields are changed.
delete_event
Permanently delete an event and ALL its sub-resources (floorplans, guests, groups, relationships, seating). This action cannot be undone.
list_floorplans
List all floorplans for an event. Returns names, seat/table counts, canvas dimensions, and version numbers.
create_floorplan
Create a new empty floorplan for an event. Default canvas is 1920x1080px. After creating, use add_objects to place tables, stages, and other items.
get_floorplan
Get a floorplan with ALL its objects. Returns the full object array with positions, types, labels, and configs. Use this to understand the current layout.
update_floorplan
Update floorplan settings (name, canvas dimensions, grid settings). Does NOT modify objects — use add_objects, update_object, or delete_object for that.
delete_floorplan
Permanently delete a floorplan and its seating assignments.
duplicate_floorplan
Create a copy of an existing floorplan with all its objects. Useful for creating layout alternatives.
get_floorplan_stats
Get computed statistics for a floorplan: total seats, total tables, and object count.
get_floorplan_image
Generate a 1200x630 PNG preview image of a floorplan. Returns a public URL. Use this to show users what their layout looks like.
list_objects
List all objects currently on a floorplan canvas. Returns type, position (x, y), dimensions, label, rotation, and config for each object.
add_objects
Add one or more objects to a floorplan. Each object needs: type, x position, y position. Width, height, fill color, and config default per type. Use get_object_templates to see available types and their defaults. Common types: table_round (10 seats), table_rectangle (10 seats), stage, dance_floor, bar, buffet, chair. Position (x, y) is in canvas pixels (canvas is 1920x1080 by default).
update_object
Update a single object on the canvas. Only provided fields are changed. Use this to move, resize, relabel, recolor, or reconfigure an object.
delete_object
Remove a single object from the canvas by its ID.
get_object_templates
Get the full catalog of all 35+ available object types with their default dimensions, colors, and configurations. Use this to discover what objects can be placed on a floorplan. No authentication required.
list_guests
List all guests for an event. Returns names, email, phone, RSVP status, group, tags, dietary notes, and accessibility notes.
add_guests
Add one or more guests to an event. Each guest needs firstName and lastName. Optionally include email, phone, groupId, rsvpStatus, tags, dietaryNotes.
get_guest
Get full details of a specific guest by ID.
update_guest
Update a guest's information. Only provided fields are changed.
delete_guest
Remove a guest from the event.
import_guests
Bulk import up to 100 guests at once. Each guest needs firstName and lastName.
list_groups
List all guest groups for an event. Groups organize guests (e.g. "Bride's Family", "Work Colleagues"). The auto-assign algorithm seats group members together. Groups with priority 1 (VIP) are seated first.
create_group
Create a guest group. After creating, assign guests to it by updating each guest's groupId. Priority 1 = VIP (seated first by auto-assign), 5 = lowest.
update_group
Update a group's name, color, or priority.
delete_group
Delete a guest group. Guests in the group become ungrouped (they are NOT deleted).
list_relationships
List all guest relationship constraints for an event. Relationships tell the auto-assign algorithm how to seat pairs of guests: seat_together (adjacent seats), same_table, nearby, or keep_apart.
create_relationship
Create a seating constraint between two guests. Types: "seat_together" (adjacent seats at same table), "same_table" (same table, any seats), "nearby" (soft preference), "keep_apart" (must NOT be at same table). These constraints are used by auto_assign_seating.
delete_relationship
Remove a seating constraint between two guests.
get_seating
Get current seat assignments for a floorplan. Returns a map of seatKey (format "objectId:seatIndex") to guestId, a reverse lookup (guestId to seatKey), and table labels.
replace_seating
Replace ALL seat assignments at once. Provide a complete assignments map of seatKey ("objectId:seatIndex") to guestId. Useful for programmatic bulk seating.
assign_guest_to_seat
Assign a specific guest to a specific seat. If the guest is already seated elsewhere, they are moved. If the seat is occupied, the previous occupant is displaced.
unassign_guest
Remove a guest from their current seat, leaving them unassigned.
auto_assign_seating
Run the intelligent auto-assign algorithm. Assigns unassigned guests to available seats, respecting: group clustering (members sit together), VIP priority (priority 1 groups seated first), plus-one adjacency, and relationship constraints (seat_together, same_table, keep_apart). Set apply=true to save the result, or false for a dry run that returns proposed assignments and statistics without saving.
export_guests
Export the guest list in JSON or CSV format. JSON returns structured data. CSV includes: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Group, RSVP, Plus One Name, Dietary Notes, Tags, Notes.
share_floorplan
Generate a share link for a floorplan. Choose "view" for read-only or "edit" for collaborative editing. Returns a URL that can be shared with anyone — no login required for recipients.
describe_floorplan
Generate a detailed human-readable description of a floorplan layout. Lists all objects by category, their positions and labels, total seats and tables, and spatial relationships. Useful for understanding what a layout looks like without seeing it visually.
get_event_summary
Get a comprehensive summary of an event: event details, all floorplans with stats, total guest count, RSVP breakdown, group list, and seating completion. Combines data from multiple API calls into one response.
