Setting up with Highlight

This MCP is not yet compatible with Highlight’s one-click setup. However, you can still use it with Highlight by following these steps:

  1. Download and install Highlight from highlightai.com/download
  2. Navigate to the plugins tab and select "Add Custom Plugin"
  3. Configure the plugin with the settings below

Please refer to the README for specific instructions on how to obtain API keys or other required environment variables.

  4. Enable "Start Automatically" if you want the plugin to start when Highlight launches

From the repository

Requires Node.js 18+ and an active Informatica IDMC account. You must provide your IDMC username, password, and your pod's base URL. After configuring these credentials, integrate the server with an MCP client (e.g., Claude Desktop, Cursor, Agentforce) by following the full documentation.

Claude Desktop / Cursor

Paste into your MCP client config file to install this server.

An MCP server that connects AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Agentforce) directly to your Informatica IDMC platform — letting you monitor, manage, and query jobs using natural language, without opening the IDMC console.

What can you do with it?
1. Start & stop jobs — trigger any IDMC task type (Mapping, Sync, Replication, Masking, PowerCenter, Taskflow)
2. Check job status — get real-time status and row counts for any running job
3. Query the activity log — filter by task type, time range, status, and more
4. List active jobs — see everything currently running across your org
5. View job history — retrieve historical execution records for any task
6. Manage sessions — authenticate, restore, or invalidate IDMC sessions

Example prompts you can use
1. "Show me all jobs that failed in the last 24 hours"
2. "Start the Acme_Account_Sync mapping task"
3. "What is the current status of job run 123456?"
4. "List all active jobs running right now"
5. "Get the activity log for replication tasks from this week"

Supported IDMC task types
1. Mapping Task (MTT), Synchronization Task (DSS), Replication Task (DRS), Masking Task (DMASK), PowerCenter Task (PCS), Linear Taskflow (WORKFLOW)
